Welcome to the home page of jerry kiesow, Outdoor Communicator Sharing the enjoyment of the outdoors via
photos, words, and workshops.

You will find this is not a fancy website. It is plain and simple ... just like me. You will find that it is a website that is always adjusting and making changes - a work in progress ... just like me. It is designed for you to enjoy while finding some items you can use.
Why do I call myself an Outdoor Communicator? I have enjoyed the outdoors all my life. I have thousands of images and written thousands of words, including a book, Tales of The Peshtigo Putzer, to prove that statement. I conduct a variety of outdoor workshops. Many of my endeavors revolve around fishing and hunting, but not all. I ski, snowshoe, haul sap, swim, canoe, whatever God gives me to do with the day He provides. I show and tell others how to enjoy the outdoors. Therefore, I communicate to them.
So, what will you find here?
PHOTOS: I have a stock photo file of outdoor happenings in all seasons. All are available, not only for viewing, but also for publication or prints. I will take on an occasional assignment.
WORDS: Here you will find examples of what has been, and is currently being, published. You will find:
Putzer's Page: Follow the adventures (some would say they are misadventures) of Mr. P, his family and friends, as they savor each of the seasons.
Caring For Creation: God created our earth to be appreciated, at least for a few moments everyday. These observations enforce that thesis.
Other stuff: Other writings in other venues.
WORKSHOPS: These include: Fly tying, fly fishing, my transition from film to digital photography, how writing for periodical publishers differ from writing a book, and more. Check out the individual drop-downs to see what I am doing and where.
